Capturing the Sights: Anaheim

On one hand, there are beautiful skylines, looming skyscrapers, lights and colors that blend together in ways most people could not even imagine. On the other, a scenic view of a vibrant beach and the golden hue of the setting sun, all in the background of rolling hills and winding roads. Two opposite sights on two opposite sides, yet both belong to the same great country. However, despite the best efforts of many, the beauty of a city cannot be expressed in mere words, and can only be truly understood seeing it in person for yourself. Unfortunately for many, that is not possible, so the next best thing is to look at pictures and videos. These snapshots of history play an incredibly important part in the advertisement of cities and places to visit, capturing vibrant images and dynamic footage of a city's unique architecture and everyday life, enticing both visitors and potential permanent residents. Deeper than that, the role photographers and videographers play in preserving history is important as well, as they show the city as it is in the present, providing an important historical record for the future and giving a basis for what has changed and what needs to change.

Every city website has pictures or videos of the highlights of their city, all in the hopes of tempting visits or simply for people to learn more. Some have an easier job than most, and Anaheim, California is an example of such a city. Known for Disneyland, the city boasts a thriving business sector filled with towering buildings and aesthetic streets. It is a place with no shortage of scenic views, and one that any photographer or videographer would have an easy time documenting. Because of the numerous sights, Anaheim is looking for vendors who would be able to provide on-call professional photography and videography services to the city. The scope of services can be found here

The work photographers and videographers do is impressive, but we often only see the best couple out of every hundred or thousand they take, with some waiting hours for a certain shot or angle. The results are undefinable though, and oftentimes captures the beauty of the subject in a way that seems almost effortless.
